As a small family business, we make all of our candles by hand. This means that we get to be a part of the entire process of making your favorite candle from scratch. Since we have all of the materials in our warehouse, it gives us the freedom to mix things up every once in a while. We like to try to create new and exciting candles just to see what we might come up with. Sometimes they don't turn out as we hoped, but other times, we realize we can do something truly extraordinary.

That's why, in 2023 we created our first layered candle, and it was stunning.

We had recently added the fragrance Fruit Loop to our scent line in various colors to represent the famous cereal, but we wanted to see if we could combine all the colors into one beautiful candle. So we did it in our largest jar. The Fruit Loop Layered 2 Gallon Candle was created with 6 layers each in a different color.

The candle was beautiful and we loved seeing the different colors all together. We fell in love with this concept and thought, "why just layer a single scent in different colors?". What could we create if we chose multiple fragrances and stacked them on top of each other in a single jar candle?

Having almost 80 different fragrances at our disposal meant that we had a lot of combination possibilities. We had to look at what colors would pair well together and what scents would blend beautifully.

When the fourth generation of family joined the business, they created the layered 26 ounce jar candles that have 5 layers of 3 fragrances poured at an angle. This creates a truly unique look for each candle jar. Using various fragrance combinations, we were able to provide multiple different layered fragrances. Each candle was given a name based on the aesthetic of colors or the scent notes. For example, the Layered Barista 26 oz Jar Candles are made with Hazelnut Coffee, Mocha Latte, and French Butter Cream which, when combined, have the aromas one might find in a local cafe.

Once we saw how beautiful the layered 26 ounce jar candles were, we knew we wanted to offer them in a larger sized jar. In 2025 we introduced the layered candles in our 64 ounce size candle jars. Made with 3 layers, these impressive candles are made in the same fragrances as our 26 ounce layered jar candles.

These larger jars do not have the same angled wax as the 26 ounce sized layered candles, but instead feature a level-poured wax. As with all of our 64 ounce jar candles, the layered 64 ounce candles have 3 wicks which evenly melt the wax to the edge of the glass.

When burning any of the layered jar candles, the wax slowly melts layer by layer. During the first burn, you may only smell the topmost fragrance. However, as the wax warms up deeper into the candle, the next layer will begin to mix in with the one above. As the scents blend together, the new fragrance will be released into your space.
