Votive Cups

Votives should always be burned in a votive candle holders because the candles are designed to liquify completely on the top. The liquid wax needs to be contained in order to get the longest burn time because it is the fuel that the flame needs. The votive cups keep the liquefied wax near the flame so it can continue to be used up. Plus wax would make a terrible mess on your table without the candle holder.
